Chameleon Frame

Solace Tumbleweed Bicycle in Use

Once loosely defined as “sport touring” frames, these are for most riders who enjoy long fast rides, centuries, brevets, and randonneuring. More comfortable, these frames feature all of the Road Frame specifications, but with rack / fender eyelets for moderate loads, and room for 700 X 32 tires with fenders. Slightly longer and smoother riding, these are still easily raced and never trendy. Just the ticket for the practical rider who appreciates versatility. Built for either standard reach (57mm)* sidepull brakes, or cantilever brakes. Great on fast hardpack and the occasional cross race. Available with 2 degree up sloping top tube for a higher handlebar position and greater comfort. Also available as a pure cyclocross frame.

*Currently Campy does not offer a std. reach brake. Both Shimano & Tektro are available and are fine in every way. Tektro model 521AG is a superbly polished version with nice pads mounted in an alloy holder, alloy cable adjusters & a simple all metal quick release which is an improvement over the Campy QR. A perfectly suitable substitution in any Campagnolo group.
